Friedrich Staps

Friedrich Staps (or Stapß) was born on March 14, 1792 at Naumburg (Saxony), the son of a clergyman.

On October 13, 1809 (or 12 according to Jean Tulard), he tried to assassinate Napoleon.

He died on October 17, 1809, executed by firing squad.
