Marshal of the First French Empire.
He died on April 20, 1842 in Paris. He was laid to rest in the Governor's Crypt of the Cathedral of Saint-Louis.

In 1976, the French Postal Service released a 0.80 Franc stamp bearing the image of Marshal Moncey .
